Mekong Delta and Sajgon

Now I have too much to write about so just very shortly.
From Cambodia I crossed to Vietnam by boat on the Mekong river and all together it took me 3 days as we were stopping in different places on the Mekong Delta. It was amazing trip to see how people live in the floating houses and the main mean of transport there is a boat. It was like in the picture. Slowly, sunny, children greeted us from the river banks. The highlight was visiting the biggest floating market where big boats buy and sell from small boats - wholesale. Sometimes it takes several days to them to arrive at the market, sailing on the river and stopping and trading in the villages they pass on the way. They cook, sleep and relax on their boat.
Sajgon - now the name refers only to the old centre, tourist area - the whole city is called Ho Chi Min City. For the Polish speakers it is all true to say "jak w Sajgonie" (like in Sajgon)- traffic here is horrific, no laws, or maybe one: law of the jungle. There are 21 million motorbikes in Vietnam.
Despite this Vietnam, and HCMC, is still a charming place. Nice architecture, traditional dresses, bikes, cyclos. You see lots of Chineese influence, tranquility and smiles that come from buddism.
